At 19’7” in length, the Pleasure-Way Ascent TS could be a good RV for first-timers or renters because it’s easier to drive and park than larger vehicles.
It’s built on a Mercedes Sprinter chassis and is powered by a 3.0-liter Blue Tec diesel engine. It carries 24.5 gallons of fuel so it should have good range for long trips. It carries 20 gallons of freshwater, 15 gallons of grey water and 12 gallons of black water. The propane tank holds 8.16 gallons. Towing capacity is 5,000 pounds.
Interior features include two fold-down Corian countertop extensions to create additional food-preparation areas. There’s a memory foam power sofa with two seat belts, front cab privacy shades, 7” touchscreen control panels and twin 100-amp lithium batteries.
The Ascent TS is Pleasure-Way’s most compact Class B model and the company says it can handle busy urban roadways or the open road with equal competence. Retail pricing for the 2018 Ascent starts at $129,155.
Pleasure-Way says it takes about six weeks and more than 400 man-hours to custom-build each of its motorhomes. All the parts for an individual model are custom made specifically for the intended chassis. All the components are hand fit, and once a piece is finished, it is serialized with that particular coach’s chassis identification number and will only be installed on that unit.
